Aceh Besar (Antaranews Aceh) - The government of Aceh Besar district in Aceh province will use the village funds to develop the villages in the district with labor-intensive system to improve the economy of local people.
"We would like to apply labor-intensive system in the development of all villages here," Aceh Besar District Head Mawardi Ali told the newsmen here on Sunday.
According to him, the total allocation of funds for the construction of 609 villages in Aceh Besar from the 2018 State Budget amounted to Rp398 billion and from the Regional Budget was Rp100 billion.
Further, Ali added that the implementation of labor-intensive projects should not be leased or granted to third parties.
He said the village funds have so far been given to third parties
to enrich the villages, such as making rental homes instead of empowering the economy and increasing the income of villagers.
"Therefore, starting this year we will use the village funds for the development of villages with the labor-intensive system to improve the economy and income of the villagers," he said.
Ali noted that the funds will be managed by the villages to finance the activities through the deliberations of village development plans.
